In short
Somniwing is the reward for 180 points in the Elite Training, and that's the only way to get one. It doesn't live in the wild, doesn't hatch from eggs, and isn't for sale. At 180, Dr. Lewis calls you, and you collect it by talking to him at the Outpost.

Somniwing comes with a phone call. Once your Elite Training points reach 180, Dr. Lewis calls you, and you collect Somniwing by talking to him at the Outpost, with no fight. There’s no other way to get one. Somniwing doesn’t live anywhere in the open world, no egg hatches one, and you can’t buy one.
Is Somniwing Worth 180 Points?
Yes. Our tier list puts Somniwing in S tier among REGEN creatures, because it feeds EP to the whole team in any lineup, raises max EP, and absorbs enemy projectiles. What it costs is time, since 180 points take a while to collect, and the Elite Training is the only way there.
What Somniwing Does
Somniwing is number 030, a Wind and Grass creature in the REGEN role. It has a single form, its Prismana Form, and it doesn’t evolve or come from an evolution, so there’s no later stage to work toward. Its stats are 111 HP, 92 ATK, 50 BREAK, 85 P.DEF, 85 M.DEF, and 115 REGEN, for a total of 538. REGEN is the highest of the six and BREAK the lowest.
Two of the strengths behind that S tier come from a single skill, Ethereal Light Wave, which costs no EP. It sends out a wave that absorbs enemy projectiles, and every ally it passes through regains EP 24% faster for 20 seconds. The third comes from its trait, Energy Full, which raises max EP by 10. Its other skills do narrower jobs. Hypnotic Spores, for 20 EP, puts a target to sleep for 5 seconds and makes it take 25% more damage until it’s hit, though it has no effect on Grass Aniimo. Energy Orb, for 10 EP, charges up while you hold the button and spends EP to deal more damage. Its innate skill, Butterfly Dance, restores 36 EP.
Where the Elite Training Starts
The Elite Training opens at the end of the main mission “Chasing the Clouds,” after you beat and catch the Alpha Turbo, and Dr. Lewis is the one who introduces it. It has five tabs. One holds the Core Courses, and the other four hold the Elective Courses, Path of Twining, Path of Discovery, Path of Victory, and Path of Splendor. Points from all five count toward 180.
How to Reach 180 Sooner
Start with the objectives that fit the way you already play, since they cost you no extra time. Clear the capture objectives as they come up, and go after the missions that give the most points. Then look back through earlier chapters for rewards you haven’t claimed yet.
Don’t let the Core Courses fall behind, either. Promotions need them anyway, four per chapter, so every Core Course you finish moves you toward 180 and toward your next promotion at once.
Once It’s Yours
Keep it. Somniwing can’t be caught, hatched, or bought, so make sure you never release it by mistake. It also has a place in the team we’d build around Irisalis, alongside Turbo and Leafy.
