Russet Highlands

The zone

Rocky mountains and canyons fill Russet Highlands, the northeast corner of the map, with Driftwise Meadow to the south and Zephyrus Landbridge to the east. Travel with an Aniimo that flies and one that climbs. No zone has more Sanctums than its three, First Sight, Vigilant Eyes, and Stonebound Sword. Helmut, Rookey, Pawney, Helmwhelp, Helgon, and Jawling live only here, and when it snows, Helmut, Rookey, Baleetle, and Waleetle appear in their Snowfield Forms.

What to do here

The Alpha Rookey is east of the First Sight Sanctum and drops Star Dust and Star Sand, and the Omega Infergon lives here too. For the “Secret of the Golden Helmet,” find the clearing between the Rainbow Woods travel point and First Sight where three Helmut stare at a golden helmet, one of them the Devoted Helmut, which lets nobody near. Twine with an Aniimo that has the Cloak skill, such as Wisptis or Flutternym, to get close unseen, and a Helmut in its Mountain Woods Form comes out; once you've caught it, Mountain Woods Helmut and Rookey appear across the zone.
